Who We Are
Resource Point began as a desire of Northland, A Church Distributed to serve the Central Florida Area with a tool that could be used by the entire community to find resources for those in need and identify opportunities to serve people and local non-profit, government and faith based organizations.
Resource Point connects an individual’s needs with our community’s resources and provides opportunities to get involved in the Central Florida community by volunteering and giving to others. We offer more than just a database of resources: we offer a partnership. Resource Point offers a roadmap to success, connecting you with goods, services and programs designed to help you in your time of need. If you want to help others, you can be connected to local organizations that provide volunteer opportunities and donation needs.
Advocacy Changes Lives
Together, Resource Point connects an individual’s needs with our community’s resources. In doing so, we help create roadmaps to success for those in need. But true success takes more than just resources- it takes a helping hand. For that reason, our advocates walk alongside our participants, helping them discover the path to independence.
Why We’re Different
Quite simply, we offer more than just a database of resources: we offer a partnership. Our Resource Advocacy Model not only mitigates the immediate, physical needs of individuals and families, but also offers strategic action plans designed to build trust, restore confidence, and fundamentally change people’s lives.
The Hope Cycle
Resource Point breaks the cycle of need and replaces it with the cycle of hope. We offer participants a relationship through a continuum of services. Our Resource Advocates work hand-in-hand with participants to achieve milestones, building momentum towards a goal of self-sufficiency. Once successful, the cycle of need is broken; the participant is able to help others; and the cycle of hope begins.
